Mama, Relax! Stop Multitasking!

Multitasking! Have you ever felt you are doing lots of things but at the same time nothing?⁣
Yes? I know! I feel ya! ⁣

Last month I attended a conference for entrepreneurs and one of the speakers said if we want to manage our time efficiently we have to stop MULTITASKING.⁣
Multitasking is one of the attribute most mothers are well known for. ⁣
However, when we think we’re multitasking, most often we aren’t really doing two things at once – but instead, individual actions in rapid succession.⁣
Trying more than one thing at a time seriously compromises our ability to complete the tasks well. Unitasking is the ideal way to get things done.
And here I am having my breakfast while checking emails (image above). Do you think I am doing both things well? Nope! I am not enjoying my breakfast and I am not replying to emails just reading and then I totally forget to go back plus missing interaction with kids.

So... What should we do?

Mamas, one thing at a time. Relax, enjoy the journey. ⁣
Remember we are built to work on one thing at a time. We are not machines. ⁣
Let's stop putting pressure on ourselves and enjoy our lives.⁣

It’s so hard not to try do 10 things all at once but you’re right, one thing at a time and each thing gets done properly

I feel like I'm literally multi-tasking all day long. Even when I'm sleeping, I'm working in my head.
