How to take care of our mental health these holidays? If you're getting desperate because you have to do thousands of things over the next few days, you haven’t finished shopping or you don’t look the way you want, STOP!
1. Budget
Define your budget for the next few days and do not exceed it. Pay with cash or debit card as much as possible, avoid getting crazy with your credit card..
2. Eat healthy
Yes, read it, do not eat too much but do not stop eating either.
Eat the same amount of food like you would in your day to day life, otherwise if you eat without control this will not only impact your health but also your mind, you know to avoid those thoughts like "oh I have eaten too much, I look horrible, I am a 🐷".
On the other hand if you don't eat properly, your mood could play against you as well.
Take care of your mind from your own mind!!!
3. Do not overwhelm yourself
Do not commit to everything. PLAN the activities you can realistically achieve and eliminate everything extra.
Take this time to relax, the holidays are meant to be for that.
Avoid toxic people, including some family members🙈
4. Celebrate your achievements from this year and be grateful for what you have accomplished.
Do not focus on what you did not achieve, you will find that you have much to celebrate, this brings optimism to your life and strength to continue.
